Hello again, dear readers! I hoped to get my spring break photos up for you all to see, but with all the shoots I've had as of late, that might not be happening too quickly. My spring break road trip to Canada, by the way, was absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to process photos from that trip to share with you all.
In the meantime, I'd like to share a little shoot I did this past weekend for the cast of this year's Chinese American Culture Night (May 7, 2016 @ Royce Hall, UCLA). Ever since coming to college, I feel like I've been so busy with building up my future that I haven't been paying attention to my roots. This year, I decided to get involved with this amazing annual production to get more in touch with this part of who I am. An awesome part of what I do is that I get to come up with these concept shots. One of this year's production themes is the importance of memories in our lives; another theme is letters and how they help preserve our memories when kept. I tried to combine the two in the shot below!
Special thanks to Emily, who is an amazing model and will be performing in the culture night, and Megan, who is always willing to help and is awesome at letter-throwing. If you're wondering how we did it, here's a little behind the scenes shot:
Following the concept shoot, we had a quick portrait session for everyone else in CACN cast. UCLA campus always offers a beautiful portrait setting, so we got some super nice shots as well.
Cast, in order: Emily, Tesia, Diana, Linde, David, Tim, Susana. You'll see them all at the show!
Thanks for reading, everyone!
