Randhawa Ranch wedding photo, Temecula vineyard sunset

I had them sit close together rather than stand, which is what let her naturally lean her head into his shoulder — that's not a pose I built from scratch, it's just what happens when two people are sitting comfortably and I give them a second to settle instead of calling out directions right away. His hand resting over hers on the bouquet keeps the frame quiet instead of busy, and the low sun coming in from the side wraps around both of them without anyone needing to angle toward it.

Randhawa Ranch's vineyard rows run out behind them into the Temecula hills, catching that same warm light and giving the whole background a soft, hazy glow instead of a hard tree line.

A moment like this is part of why I always build sunset portraits into wedding day coverage — pulling the couple away from the reception for ten quiet minutes, right as the light turns, to get something the rest of the day won't give you.

Location: Randhawa Ranch, Temecula CA.

1/1250; f/1.4; ISO 100; 24.0 mm.
